July 24, 1908, considered as one of the important turning points in Turkish press history, comes to the forefront as the day when censorship was ebolished from the press.

The press, which is one of the essential elements of the democratic system; despite all kinds of challenging conditions, works intensively for the freedom of information of the public in accordance with social values, law and press professional principles.

It is our most important wish that all press organizations and journalists perform their duties under the best conditions and that their rights and responsibilities are at the level of advanced democracies.
