The date of 23 April 1920 was written in golden letters as the day when sovereignty belonged to the Turkish nation unconditionally.

Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk wanted this important day to be remembered as a gift for children who are the future of this country acting on the belief: "Children are the future of this nation".

Turkey is the first and only country to mark a day as a gift to its own children and all children all across the globe.
