My name is Onur ŞERO. I was born in 10/11/1995 in Diyarbakır. I am a graduate of Diyarbakır Cumhuriyet Science High School. I am now a fourth year student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bogazici University

2- When did you get scholarship support from Aktas Education Foundation?

Since October 2014, I have been receiving scholarship support from Aktas Education Foundation.

3- How are you informed about Aktas Education Foundation scholarships?

I discovered Aktas Education Foundation scholarships while researching scholarships on the Internet.

4- What contribution has Aktas Education Foundation made to you in reaching your current position or realizing your dreams?

Aktas Education Foundation scholarships contributed to me in an indirect way. The scholarship I received helped me with some of my spending during my studies. Thanks to these scholarships, I did not deal with too many financial problems in my academic education, so I was able to spend more time developing myself.

5- Can you summarize the importance of Aktas Education Foundation in your life with one statement?

The most beautiful part of my education life.

6- Will you share your future vision with us? What are your career goals?

For the time being, I don't have a clear idea of which sector and which position I will be working in the future, but I want to move towards the signal/telecom area. First, I want to be a part of a company where I can learn things better and improve myself. Then I'm thinking about either getting my own department or getting an MBA degree.

7- Do you support projects developed to support students who have undergone the same road as you? What are your recommendations to students?

I've helped someone I know in person or people who have asked me. I'm not doing this assistance as part of a project. I advise students that courses are not everything and that the main goal is to improve oneself. I can also say that it would be beneficial for them to get help from someone with a wide vision in every period of being a student

8- Do you have any success stories that make you proud in your education and business life? Would you briefly mention your accomplishments?

I have not yet entered the business life so I don’t have a work-related success, but I have had the opportunity to improve myself in a beautiful part of a very beautiful university by getting a higher score than I expected in the preparation for the university exam.

9- Is there anything that you would like to add?

I'd like to make some suggestions that might be helpful to students. Besides the monetary scholarship, a variety of opportunities can be provided to students in terms of vision. The students can be invited to the general events organized or to the company and with one-on-one meeting with the people in that sector, they can develop their vision. Also assistance can be provided for them on the subjects like internships etc. so that they can join the sector. Thank you.
