Aktaş Holding Board Member and Chief Executive Officer Sami Erol participated in Global Competition and New Trends Summit organized by Silivri Industrialists and Businessmen Association (SİLİVRİSİAD).
Taking part in the panel moderated by Yücel Koç and themed as Transferring to Corporateness in Family Companies, Erol mentioned the management of corporateness phases in firms and the road of Aktaş Holding on corporateness.
Expressing that 3 main approaches were highly significant for managing the corporateness process in family corporations, Erol said: "Such processes are the creation of the required structures for sustainability of results with reflection of common family mission on execution and development of business processes and outcomes. The companies must act around a constant optimization culture and should increase sustainability in the company by using the resources effectively. Moreover, it is very important that family members trust each other and provide the communication among them in an efficient manner. A platform should be provided for the family members to speak out sensitive and important points openly. And it is necessary to pay attention to the dialogues on the issues including disagreements."
It is necessary to follow the new world order
Stating that it is a must to perform an inner family skill evaluation in the family companies, Erol pointed out that the founder generation might have different expectations than the next generation. Highlighting that this phase necessitates the founder generation transfers from company management to system management, Erol added: "Also it is necessary to determine the leadership targets of the next generation. Experiencing the rapid development of technology and ever-increasing competition terms, the family companies should improve themselves according to this order. To adapt the new world order and achieve quality works, companies can manage to do so by employing expert and professional members in their own field. And this is only possible through corporateness."
Erol added that as Aktaş Holding they would continue to undersign several important works by increasing the success momentum that they have on a global scale.
