For the purpose of protecting the natural environment in which we are living, every year 5th of June is celebrated with various events in every area of the world as 'World Environment Day' in accordance with the decision taken at the United Nations Environment Conference held in Stockholm, Sweden in 1972 and the awareness rising studies on environment are ongoing in the entire world nation.
Whereas many factors such as increasing world population, migrations from the rural to the urban, industrialization, lack of conscious cause the natural environment such as water, air and soil to be destructed by being polluted more and more each passing day, the problems arising from the pollution of the environment increase day by day.
On the other hand, the consciousness raising studies, which have been carried on for years with regard to the adoption of the sustainable development model with the decision taken by the United Nations and the evaluation of the endangered natural resources in a renewable manner by also considering the next generations, provide significant returns across the world.
In this regard, while strongly reminding once more that we have tremendous responsibilities for being able to raise the necessary environmental awareness in our country and in the world and for being able to raise an environmentally-conscious generation, we, as Aktas Holding, celebrate 'Environment Day' of all world citizens.
