Aktas Holding, which undersigns different training activities for its employees within the scope of the various organizations arranged with the thought of “life-long education”, brought its personnel close together in the “Diversity” conversation organized by the participation of the Association for Support of Diversity in Knowledge and Practice” (BUCAD) which is known as the first association supporting diversity and differences in our country.

While Basak Yegin Bicer, Board Chairman, participated on behalf of BUCAD in the organization realized at Aktas Holding Training Hall, Bicer, who emphasized importance of increased diversity in the business life, stated that creation of employment for women, young people and handicapped individuals may be supported thanks to diversity which contributes in provision of potential gains in the production and service sectors concretely.

In the “Diversity” conversation realized; a message was given regarding equality of opportunity to individuals in their social and business life by considering the individual as a whole with all his/her aspects and respecting differences independent from gender, age, ethical origin, preferences, handicaps, religion and other features.

“Differences Do Not Prevent Anything”

Bicer, who gave information on diversity and addressed to the participants, stated: “We may qualify the issue that we call as diversity as the value of each individual independent from gender, age, ethical origin, preferences, handicaps, religion and other aspects, elimination of prejudices, consideration of individual as a whole with his/her past, life experiences and beliefs and respect to visible and invisible differences. Differences are never handicaps. We believe that when differences are managed properly and efficiently, it shall add value to businesses and society. Our aim, as BUCAD, is to show the positive effect of properly managed differences on productivity”.

At the end of the training at which Aktas Holding Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Sami Erol and Aktas Education Foundation Board Chairman Ilknur Aktas did not left the personnel alone, various gifts were presented to BUCAD Board Chairman Basak Yegin Bicer due to her valuable presentations.
