1. Could you introduce you in short?

I was born in Bursa in 1976 and now I am happy that I stay in Bursa. Just after completing Department of Economics of METU, I began working as deputy inspector in Pamukbank. After the banking and automotive sector experiences took a short time, I started working in Borusan Logistics. I was a manager in domestic logistics, port and international transportation areas in the organization of Borusan Logistics during 11 years we passed. As you know, Borusan Logistics incorporated Balnak at the end of 2012. Following this merger, I conduct the responsibility of the Bursa region international transportation units. I mostly care to be with my son who is 6 years old in my spare times. Besides, I try to make time for sport activities. Especially I started to have close interest to bicycling sport in the recent periods. In addition to this, tennis and swimming are the sports I pleasure in doing as occasion serves. I can say that I have a special interest in photography, even though I can't spend much time, recently. 

2. Can you introduce your organization?

Our company, Borusan Logistics was founded to serve the group company in the organization of Borusan Holding in 1973. We realized a re-structuring as an "integrated logistics service provider" to present our experience and knowledge to the companies outside the group and to develop our area of activity in 2000. As Borusan Logistics, we have become one of the leading companies of the sector in 12 years. With the big purchasing enterprise we did in 2012, we reached the position of sector leader by incorporating Balnak, which was among the first 10 players of the sector. We mainly focus on 4 strategic areas of business: logistic services, port services, international transportation services, and foreign countries logistic services. We provide domestic complete transportation with 60 land transportation offices, 14 transfer hubs and a fleet of 450 vehicles, customed, uncustomed storage, project transportation, cold partial transportation, Milkrun heavy transportation, automobile transportation, production logistics and vehicle logistic center services in an area of 400.000 m2 in total. There are the domestic logistic services provided by our company. Our Borusan port, located in Gemlik, provides the container, general cargo, project load services, PCC and Ro-Ro port and terminal services with world standards with her own expert staff 24 hours, 7 days. Our port, which has a capacity of 5 million tons of general cargo, 400.000 TEU container and 250.000 vehicle handling, can serve ships with a capacity of 10.000 TEU with a linear pier of 450 m, a water depth of 14,5 m and Gantry type cranes. We obtained a wide agency network in the abroad and gained a big strength in the international transportation area with Balnak integration. Our company, which reached a very solid infrastructure, especially in Europe, we added Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Swiss, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria, Netherland, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Portugal, and Baltic countries to the land route agency network of Borusan Logistics too. We also wish to mention here about an innovative step which marks the logistic sector. ETA (electronic transportation network) which is the first and only in its area and realized by our company makes the truck driver tradesman the biggest fleet of Turkey using the most efficient and state of art technologies on one hand, present reliable, traceable transportation service with suitable prices to the small and medium sized companies on the other hand. ETA is a result of the innovation studies Borusan conducts aling with the vision of "being one step forward". Logistics sector is one of the business areas where thousands of companies do business, very tangled and institutionalization can be obtained most hardly. This system suddenly converts the fleet of the individual entrepreneurs making transportation in Turkey an institutionalized service provider which can be controlled and monitored centrally. ETA provides SMEs a transportation service which will carry their loads, reliable, insured, creating cost advantage, and can be monitored 24x7. It gives to the truck driver artisans that they can get their payments in due time, in a reliable way and at the points where they want and the easiness of planning their next businesses while they are on the road. ETA is not a simple meeting platform which gathers the truck driver and owner of the load, but a transportation company where thousands of vehicles are manager efficiently, latest technologies are used, which has an effective fleet management system and assumes all responsibility of the transportation. Even though 100% owner of ETA is Borusan Logistics, it is administered as a separate legal personality and with a separate management team. 

3. When did your cooperation with Aktaş start?

As Borusan Logistics, we had the opportunity to have business with Aktaş air suspension systems previously. However we started to make regular transportation with bigger scale with Aktaş air suspension systems as of 2011. By this way, we had the opportunity to develop the relations between our company and Aktaş air suspension systems and to know the needs and priorities of our customer more closely. Today we give integrated domestic transportation, customs and international air/land/sea transportation services in a centralized way to Aktaş air suspension systems. We are very happy to provide the connection of Aktaş air suspension systems which has businesses in 5 continents with the world. 

4. What does Aktaş mean to you?

Can you evaluate the growth across the world and targets of the company? Aktaş air suspension systems which has a long history and values as a local company, also determining tarets in world scale and providing continuous change and improvement to reach these targets. The investments made in a lot of points of the world clearly indicate the targets of Aktaş air suspension systems in the long term. Besides, Aktaş is a company which never sets her values aside, always fulfilling her responsibilities against the employees and society and making progress with sure steps in the way to realize her vision. 

5. What kind of business partnership do you have with Aktaş Holding?

Borusan Logistics gives customs, international land route, seaway and airway transportation services to Aktaş air suspension systems for the last 2 years. By this way, we provide the Aktaş air suspension systems the connection with the world and contribute her commercial activities. 

6. What is the secret of being successful in the business life in your opinion?

There are a lot of components of being successful in the business life. In my opinion, there are 5 basic conditions of being successful and happy in the business life. We may list them as, loving the work we do, having targets related with our business, ensuring a planned and regular work pace to reach the targets. Another important criterion is to monitor the changes and developments in the environment and world and being able to adapt to them. I think that the point we can say finally is to establish good and constructive communication with both the employees and customers. These 5 components form the road to success. I think there will no obstacle to be happy when all these conditions are reflected to the business life.
