Happy 96th Year of Bursa's Liberation

Bursa was occupied by the Greeks in 1920 after the First World War. This situation caused a great sadness in the whole country.

However, after the superior struggle of the Turkish nation, which lasted for 2 years, 2 months and 2 days, Greek soldiers were removed from Bursa territory on September 11, 1922 and this important day passed into history as the day of freedom and independence.

This honorable struggle, which our nationality and its army initiated in the Anatolian lands, has become one of the best examples that the Turkish people will never bow to the throne.

In this way, we celebrate the 96th anniversary of the liberation of Bursa and we remember our gunmen and all our martyrs, especially Commander in Chief Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who played a role in the liberation of our city from enemy invasion, with respect.
