The Great Attack an epic battle started on 26 August 1922 and ended on 30 August, worthy of being written in golden letters in the history of our country is one of the memorable victories in Turkish history, during which brave Turkish army worked in collaboration with the great Turkish people, exhibiting one of the best samples of collaboration and integration of the army and the nation.

On 30 August, our lands were cleaned from occupation of the enemy and it was proven to the entire world and to Turkey of the present day, what we may achieve with freedom and patriotism against strong enemy forces.

30 August Victory Day that we celebrate 93^rd anniversary this year is a victory Turkey won with faith and determination, as a result of superior sacrifices of the society acting as a whole, causing emergence of full independent Turkey by laying the foundations of the Republic.

As the Victory Day events are organized at the entire country on each 30 August day, this special day is continued to be lived with pride and excitement by every segment of the society from 7 to 70.
